This unit of competency specifies the skills and knowledge required to:
assess the size and scope of concreting tasks
identify the resources required to complete the tasks on time and within budget
communicate requirements to team members in preparation for concreting work to commence.
It applies to concreters working as members of a team with at least a moderate degree of autonomy. They would be expected to complete routine activities without close supervision.
Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit of competency in all states and territories except Tasmania. Relevant state and territory regulatory authorities should be consulted to confirm these requirements.
